Born and raised in Buffalo, NY with the extension of Louisville, KY. Growing up, I was always connected to making things into their own. Although my creativity did not grant me the artistic skills of artist like my sister, who could draw anything. My eye for colors, textures and placement allowed me to make something as simple as an outlined picture, a unique masterpiece.  It wasn’t until the 7th grade when my fascination for aesthetic aligned with my love of clothing. The idea of artistry and self expression through garments may not have fully proceed in my young mind. But I knew I wanted, actually NEEDED, to design apparel that represented my journey and everlasting connection to fashion.

 

That journey began in NYC in 2016. The same enthusiastic and motivated young creative hoping to bring that missing piece to the ever changing fashion industry. Giving people who look like me the inspiration and tools to express themselves and dream beyond the expectations of society. This idea and commitment evolved into J. Lew Atellier. A brand with the mission to continue workshopping and producing quality and long lasting clothing.
